Zac's mom, Teresa Mago, is the founder and president of the ZMF. Once we learned that Zac died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest I knew that we had to do something to prevent our tragedy from happening to other families. SCA was not on our radar because Zac had previously had a heart screening. We were devastated to learn that he should have been screened again a couple of years later, especially after a substantial growth spurt.
